Notary Signing Agent

A Notary signing agent is a Notary who is specially trained to handle and notarize loan documents. For lenders, Notary signing agents are the critical final link to complete the loan. A Notary signing agent is hired as an independent contractor to ensure that real estate loan documents are executed by the borrower, notarized, and returned for processing on time. Copy Certification

SC state law does not authorize notaries to certify a document copy; however, in some situations, a notary MAY be able to notarize the signature of a person who has written a statement attesting to the accuracy of the copy.

Signer presents the notary with the written attestation statement, a proper notarial certificate and the photocopy of the document in question. If the signer’s statement doesn’t contain a notarial certificate, then the signer must instruct the notary on which notarial act to perform.

$5 per notarial act.
